- James Bignon Signs Exclusive Distribution Deal With Faithwerks Music A Subsiduary of UHE Distribution, Inc.
Atlanta, Georgia, June 1, 2010 – Barrett Dungy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of UHE Distribution Inc. announced today that Grammy/Stellar Awards Nominated recording artist, James Bignon has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Faithwerks Music a division of UHE Distribution Inc. James Bignon is best known for his Grammy/Stellar Awards Nominated and Billboard Gospel Chart hit recordings of “God Is Great”, “On The Other Side of Through”, “What a Mighty God We Serve”, “He Made The Difference In My Life”, “How Excellent Is Thy Name” and others. He made a name for himself in the Gospel music industry as the Music Director for the world-renowned Georgia Mass Choir.
During the 70’s and 80’s James Bignon worked behind the scenes training choirs for Savoy Records which is a branch of the Malaco Music Group one of the oldest and leading Gospel music record labels and distributors. James Bignon crossed over religious, racial and social barriers to lead the 10 member ensemble of the original cast of “Riverdance” performing 125 shows to sold out audiences throughout the United States, UK, Ireland, and Japan.
His first release under the Faithwerks brand entitled “The Masters Peace” is scheduled to be released on August 10, 2010. This signature album celebrates his twenty-five years in the Gospel music industry and his tenth recording with the Deliverance Mass Choir. This release takes the listeners from the beginning of his career studying under the leadership of James Cleveland, and working beside Reverend Milton Biggam to creating his own unique brand of the modern traditional mass choir sound, which established him as a distinguished producer, writer and recording artist.
